Experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast from a unique perspective on our Air Kayak Safari. This relaxing adventure takes you through beautiful waterways surrounded by tropical rainforest, where nature, wildlife, and peaceful landscapes come together. Depending on conditions and the itinerary, the experience takes place in Tuba Creek or Punta Uva, two remarkable areas known for their lush vegetation, rich biodiversity, and beautiful Caribbean scenery. The adventure consists of gently navigating the water in comfortable inflatable double kayaks, accompanied by a certified bilingual naturalist guide. Along the way, your guide will share interesting information about the surrounding ecosystem, wildlife, and the importance of protecting these natural environments. As you move quietly through the water, you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Depending on the location and conditions, you may encounter boas, eyelash vipers, fer-de-lance snakes, oropel snakes, cat-eyed snakes, and other species of tropical snakes. Sloths, white-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, raccoons, and a fascinating variety of insects may also appear along the route. The area is especially rewarding for birdwatchers. Among the species that may be observed are tanagers, toucans, aracaris, trogons, hummingbirds, kingfishers, herons, cuckoos, and many other tropical birds. The iconic blue Morpho butterfly is another possible highlight of the journey. Every trip is different because wildlife sightings depend on weather, water conditions, and the natural activity of each species. The quiet movement of the kayaks allows you to explore these environments with minimal disturbance while taking in the sounds and scenery of the tropical forest.
